Bonsai, the art landscape miniaturization of trees originated in China during the Han Dynasty (206 BCñ220 AD). The term bonsai or penjing can be applied to any miniature landscape planting. These simple earthenware pots are perfect for small arrangements that can include plants, stones or figurines. To start plant a small jade tree, then add a scholar stone or interesting rock shards and finally a mudman miniature. That's all it takes to create your first miniature landscape. The simple crafting of the ceramic clay pot helps enhance the pastoral appeal of your bonsai. Each of these pomegranate red planters was hand crafted at a traditional kiln along the Pearl River Delta in Southern China.
